Hi, I’m Charlie Brown, a singer/guitarist with over 50 years of experience. I retired in 2014 after 39 years as a Human Services Professional so now I devote my time to playing music. Over the years I’ve performed in a variety of settings, bars, restaurants, weddings, cocktail hours, house parties, memorial services, church worship services, and religious retreats.  My musical palette covers classic rock, ballads, country, standards, soul, blues, traditional and contemporary Christian worship music.

 

My musical journey began at age 10 in a music store in Miami, Florida, when I spotted my first guitar.  I took some lessons and although it was enjoyable I had other interests so the guitar took a back seat . Fast-forward 8 years and I was off to college, basketball and women.

I started playing and singing in church in the early seventies and shortly thereafter, became part of an acoustic duo called Dillon and Brown, performing at many local bars and clubs. In 1979 I married the love of my life and started a family, so performing music was put on hold.  Eventually, the Dillon Brown Band was formed which had a 10 year run of playing bars, private events, and weddings.  I love music but I am also passionate about my faith in God, my wife, family, and basketball.
